The origin story
In 1905 a handful of Davisville business owners formed the Chamber with a single mission, to win the new University Farm for their small railroad town. Seventy other California towns wanted it too.
Davis won. That farm became UC Davis. The same instinct that landed a university in a town this size, business owners deciding the future of Davis is theirs to shape, is exactly why the Chamber still exists today.
Since 1984, our Scholarship Foundation has carried that spirit forward.
